I love playing board games, but my darling husband doesn't. So when my kiddo comes home from college for visits, we play our favorite game--Rummikub. It's kind of like Gin Rummy, but with tiles instead of cards. You have to create sets of the same number in different colors, or runs of sequential numbers in the same color. First one to get rid of all their tiles wins. And Parrish has mad Rummikub skillz, let me tell you. She is hard to beat. While she was home on this trip, we spent hours playing this game. I think I beat her maybe 6 times to her 2 dozen wins!

It's A Brand New Year
And I have decided that keeping up with both a personal and a professional blog is just not working for me. So I am combining the two here, and see if this works better for me.
So to start the new year, Kelly made breakfast for us this morning. Scrambled eggs with bell peppers & onions, and bacon and toast. Yummy!
Then we (and by we, I mean Kelly) installed the new TV he gave me for Christmas. This was a huge project that required cutting into the drywall to check for stud locations and make adjustments as necessary. Now I have my 47" LCD on a bracket the swivels and tilts, so you can view it from anywhere in the room! I love my new TV. Thanks, honey!

Happy Holidays
...to loved ones and friends, near and far!!
Cheers,
B.
{Below are some fun holiday images I took while checking out holiday lights in a festive Kaneohe neighborhood. I think the 'Island Style' tree ornaments has to have been the most unusual decoration I saw that night. Instead of milk and cookies I wonder if they will be leaving Santa a Budlight and sashimi? ;oD }Cheers,
B.

The Miyasato Family | Hawaii Portrait Photography
When: November 2009
Where: Oahu, HI
What: Family Portrait Session
I recently met up with the Miyasato's for a family portrait session, and one of the highlights was photographing their adorable daughter, "E". "E" is way less than a year old and already she has lots of cute attitude. All I can say is "watch out" future boyfriends as I'm sure she will have you wrapped around her little finger. ;o)
With winter being our "wet season" here in Hawaii, we were blessed with some great weather and lighting. That along with Traci and Corey's easy going attitude made for what I think are some great memories. Happy Holidays & Merry First Christmas with "E"!
Cheers!

The Salazar Family | Hawaii Portrait Photography
When: November 2009
Where: Oahu, HI
What: Family Portrait Session
It is hard to believe that there are only about 2 weeks left in 2009! It's that time of year where everyone is busy sharing time with loved ones near and far, and of course doing some holiday shopping as well. It is also that time of the year for the holiday portrait session rush. Thus I am looking forward to sharing a few of these sessions with you over the next couple of weeks!
Jackie contacted me a couple of months ago about photographing her family, and I was very flattered that she had been wanting to book me for a while. I'm very very glad that she finally did because I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her and her family! Her daughter is as cute as can be - I'm sure dad is going to be a busy guy screening all her suitors when she grows up. ;O)
Cheers!

And the winner is...
It was a very close round of voting...but after all the votes were tallied Entry #6 came out ahead and is the winner of the canvas gallery wrap. Congrats to the Santos family!
And Annie-belle and her sister, Laurie Lei, want to thank everyone who left a comment for their fundraiser - they donated $35 to the Scottie Kingdom Rescue to help fellow Scotties find their forever home.
Cheers!
