Kathy + Justin {& family Sneak Preview II}

As mentioned in the previous post - Justin's parents and brother joined in on the fun and had some family portraits taken as well. It was a such pleasure to talk with and photograph them, and there were more than a few times they had me chuckling. So without further ado....here are a few teasers.

If you wondered why I haven't gotten back to everyone...

I've been in Ireland! I had a fantastic time, fell in love with Ireland, and can't wait to go back. I took nearly 2,000 photographs, so there's no way I can share them all. But here's a bunch--I hope you enjoy them! If you have any questions about any of them, just leave a comment and I will respond.

Now, I am trying to get caught up on everything in my voicemail and my email while I was gone. For some reason, my iphone would NOT work over there, and I couldn't get to my phone, email, or voicemail the entire time I was gone. Please be patient, and I will get back to you.

Kathy + Justin {& family Sneak Preview I}

Kathy recently finished up her bachelor's degree (yay!), so she and Justin (a.k.a Jordan) decided to take a trip to Hawaii to celebrate. It was Kathy's first time to the islands, so what a better way to remember it than with a romantic & fun portrait session on the beach?

Justin's family also joined them on their holiday so stay tuned for some photos of them to be posted soon...

Giving Is Awesome!

Back in December, I participated in the Giving Is Awesome Project. People nominated families to receive the gift of custom portraits from Lifestyle Images. The Foriest family received one of these gifts. Their story was on our local news when it happened--their house burned down and they lost everything. Mom and all ten kids were in the house at the time the fire started, but miraculously escaped unharmed.

This was a big challenge for me, since I don't do a lot of big families. But it was fun, and the kids were great! Kudos to mom and dad for raising such well-behaved children! Anytime you take ten kids ranging in age from 13 down to 8 months out in public, it's got to be a challenge, right?

Raechelle + Bernard Maternity {sneak preview}

What:Maternity Portrait Session

Raechelle and Bernard are eagerly expecting their first little one this month, and to help remember & celebrate this special occasion they decided to have a maternity portrait session.

With summer upon us, we decided for a morning shoot though it was still pretty darn hot. Raechelle was getting over a cold and of course the heat was extra hard on her, but she was a such trooper and toughed it out. Here are just a few samples of what we captured that day, and I think it was totally worth it.

P.S. to baby Maya - your mom and dad are looking forward to your birthday! :o)

Nikki + Matthew {sneak preview}

When: May 2009
Where: Oahu, Hawaii
What: engagement lifestyle photography

OK - it's official. My favorite 'prop' is an airplane, and I love it when clients opt for a portrait session that has a 'theme'.

When I met with Nikki and Matthew to talk about their engagement session, we decided to go with a WWII / patriotic / vintage feel. *whahoo* Personally I think this really matches them for a couple of reasons:
1) Matthew is in the Marines.
2) They are getting married on the 4th of July.

And you bet your bottom dollar I am their wedding photographer also so you will definitely be seeing more photographs of this fun and gorgeous couple on my blog!
