Kelli + David

When: April 2008
Where: Seacliff Estates, Kauai
What: Kauai Destination Wedding ~~~~~ As frequent blog visitors know, I photograph a large number of Hawaii destination weddings. Most are on Oahu, so when Kelli and David invited me photograph their wedding near Kilauea town on Kauai it was a special treat. On top of that, their friends and families were VERY pleasant and fun to be around. Definitely one of many weddings where I left with a big 'ol smile on my face. Enjoy the photos!

Christine + Jonah

When: March 2008
Where: Punahou Chapel & Waimanalo, Oahu
What: A true Hawaiian-style Wedding ~~~~~ I usually focus on photographing smaller weddings (especially destination weddings), so this was by far the largest wedding I have photographed to date. There were 600+ people (!) at the reception to wish Christine & Jonah much happiness in their new life together. May we all be so lucky to always be surrounded by our loved ones - no matter how many. :o)

OK, I am a total nerd...

I am spring cleaning and decluttering around here lately...Not my favorite thing to do, but when the dust bunnies and cat hair tumbleweeds threaten to take over, you do what you have to.

So I am organizing my shoes. I keep them all in their boxes. Problem is, I can't always remember what the shoes look like based only on the description on the box. So I photographed my shoes this morning. And I am putting the photos on the ends of all the boxes. So I don't have to open them to know what's inside.

Yes, I am a total nerd...

Where: MCBH, Oahu
What: Hawaii Wedding ~~~~~ This was the first wedding I shot on MCBH and I must say there are a lot of interesting and fun locations to take advantage of for great photographs. Of course the bride & groom were a lovely couple as well, so that added with the location made for some beautiful images.

A Lovely Weekend...

Kelly and I spent a lovely weekend near Chattanooga. We stayed with some friends at their home on the Tennessee River, and it was so peaceful! Our hostess had a dinner party, inviting lots of extended family, and we had a lovely time making new friends and enjoying good food.

I am not much of a landscape photographer, but it was so pretty here on the river, I had to try. We had spectacular weather--not too hot, not too cold, and a nice pleasant breeze. We sent most of the time outdoors on the deck overlooking the river.

Lyra + Greg

When: March 2008
Where: Lanikai Beach
What: Portrait Session ~~~ Lyra & Greg were moving to the Mainland, but before they left the island they wanted photographs to remember one of their favorite spots. Are they not one of the cutest couples you have ever seen!?!?

BTW - if you are wondering about the last photo, yes, they are expecting! Lyra wanted to share the news with their family in a special and unique way so...waaa laaa. I was one of the lucky first few that they shared the wonderful news with.
