Maggie

Tonight I had the pleasure of photographing Maggie. Maggie is a senior in high school, and a beautiful, poised and intelligent young lady. The photograph's were taken at her family's farm, which was truly lovely. I am very much looking forward to photographing Maggie's parents and siblings next week! Just a delightful family!

Here's a little sneak peak form Maggie's session:

Alyssa + Tim {sneak preview}

When: August 2009
Where: Oahu, HI
What: Engagement Portrait Session

What is the BIGGEST perk to being a lifestyle photographer? Meeting and spending time with such a variety of wonderful, kind, and fun people. My engagement session with Tim and Alyssa is a perfect example - especially since they just fit together perfectly. Have to say though that both Alyssa and I got a good chuckle at how well Tim was working it for the photos. Me thinks he must have done his homework beforehand because most guys are not as comfortable or styling for the camera as he was. Let me tell ya gals - Alyssa has a keeper!

Tim is in the armed services and stationed here in Hawaii, and Alyssa is finishing up her last year in college on the mainland. They are actually getting married back east next year, and I want to send a HUGE thanks for the fab Emily Porter for referring me to them for their engagement portraits. (Emily is the lucky gal photographing their wedding so be sure to check out her in blog in August 2010 to see their wedding photos - I know I will be!)

Cheers!
B.

Kate + Adam {Sneak Preview - Part II}

When: July 2009
Where: North Shore, Oahu
What: Day After Portrait Session

As I mentioned earlier, when Kate and Adam booked me for their wedding they also wanted some fun, casual shots around Haleiwa town. So we did a slow stroll along the main road stopping here and there where our fancy took us. Unfortunately Matsumoto's shave ice was closed when we got there (their machine had broke!). But lucky for us another shop down the street was open, and as a result I think their daughter is now a fan of shave ice. :o)

A high point of our afternoon was definitely all the wonderful and friendly people who waved and congratulated them on their wedding. It's nice to see that the Aloha spirit is still very much around!

You can see more fun photographs from our walk-about in their gallery on my Facebook page.

Cheers!
B.

Back from New Mexico!

New Mexico horse

Well I am finally back from my wonderful trip to New Mexico. Santa Fe was fantastic - of course! The workshop was amazing, and I was fortunate enough to make some new friends during my travels.

I'm slowly catching up on processing and posting photographs from June - July, so many thanks for your patience! Clients should be seeing some new images posted soon in your galleries, and for the blog readers you'll eventually be seeing some more shots I took while on my travels.

Did I mention how awesome my trip was?? ;o)

Cheers!
B.
