is it growing out of a crack in the wall? wouldn't have thought a flower would be so ... hardy? stubborn? :)

My Mom brings in her geraniums in the winter...she has some from my Grandma's house that are 10 years old! Listen, Koe, I'm blinging you today. Please come by to see me!

Willow - it's actually just lying on the slate walk in front of our house. The slate and the flower and the pattern of the stones I thought made for an interesting composition. I'm glad you liked it.

Grace - thank you. There's a lot of texture in this one that the stone lends to the piece. I'm glad you liked it.

freegal - wow - keeping geraniums alive all winter is no easy task. That's quite an accomplishment. Thanks for the visit.

These red geraniums always remind me of my grandmother. She'd put the pots out in summer for them to bloom and then put them back in the basement for the winter.

I love your bloom against the blue slate...

Holly - thank you. Geraniums are a grandma kind o thing. . . aren't they? I try to make these photographs from around the house. . . be a little interesting. That slate is really something in the noon-day sun. It's been in place for nine years now and it's starting to weather at the joints. I'm having the same issue with one of my knees. Although I'm much older than 9.

Charity - you know. You're right. A red fish on a stick floating in a puddle. I really should wear my glasses when I sit at the computer. I guess that's funny thing number 725 about this. . . I can't really see what I am posting. Most days, I don't even know who is posting either. . .
